[Picture of Iowa Law Center] Colleges and Schools The State University of Iowa inlcudes ten colleges. Each of these, through its faculty and administration and with the approval of the State Board of Regents, specifics curricula and awards degrees. The College of Liberal Arts is the largest of the colleges; some of its departments and divisions are organized into schools. The colleges, schools, and divisions of the University with their respective deans and directors ar as follows: College of Business Administration-Sidney Winter, Dean College of Dentistry-George S. Easton, Dean College of Eduacation-Howard R. Jones, Dean College of Engineering-Arthur W. Melloh, Dean Graduate College-John C. Weaver, Dean College of Law-Mason Ladd, Dean College of Liberal Arts-Dewey B. Stuit, Dean School of Fine Arts-Earl E. Harper, Director School of Journalism-Leslie G. Moeller, Director School of Religion-Robert S. Michaelson, Director School of Social Work-Frank J. Glick, Director College of Medicine-Robert C. Hardin, Dean College of Nursing-Florence Sherbon, Acting Dean College of Pharmacy-Louis G. Zopf, Dean The Iowa Child Welfare Research Station, directed by Professor Charles Spiker, offers courses in the Graduate College. The Institute of Hydraulic Research is coordinated with the College of Engineering and directed by Professor Hunter Rouse. The Extension Division, directed by Dean Robert Blakely, includes among its services a program of correspondence study. 9
