PROPORTION OF SUI LIBERAL ARTS COLLEGE GRADUATES WITH COMPOSITE PERCENTILES AT SPECIFIED LEVELS (Diagram of 4 graduates above students above 75th percentile) (Diagram of 3 graduates between the 50th and 75th percentile) (Diagram of 2 graduates between the 25th and 50th percentile) (Diagram of 1graduates below 25th percentile) (Each figure represents 10 percent of the graduates) continue in Honors after your freshman year, you will need to maintain a cumulative grade average of 'B' or better. If you do not qualify initially for Honors status you may still apply for admission to Honors after you have completed a semester or more of superior college work. Applicants should arrange for an interview with the Director or Associate Director of Honors at the Honors Office in Schaeffer Hall. Transfer students with superior college records may apply for Honors status upon enrollment. It is the purpose of the Honors Program to identify and counsel talented students and to increase their educational opportunities throughout their undergraduate years. Besides the Honors sections listed in the Schedule of Courses each semester, most departments offer programs of high-level work, including individually-supervised projects, leading to an Honors degree. Out-lines of the requirements for an Honors degree in each department may be obtained at the Honors Office. In an earlier section, your composite score was said to be relatively accurate indication of your general educational development. Actually, your composite score does have a high relationship to your chances of graduating from the University. Perhaps a graph will make the relationship between composite scores on placement tests and graduation from the University a little clearer.
