Failure to answer promptly such notice will result in disciplinary action including special fee assessment, withholding of a degree, or, in flagrant cases, dismissal from the University. Photographs for Publication To protect the University and its students from undesirable publicity, photographs for publication purposes must not be taken in University buildings, including dormitories, and chapter houses, except with approval from the proper authority, Permission must be given by the heads of academic departments when those areas are involved. No student pictures may be used in commercial advertising if the name of the University is involved. Administration of Discipline Discipline of individual students or student groups, in matters of conduct, is administered by the Dean of Students. Any decision of the Dean of Students may be appealed to the Committee on Discipline. Penalties Violations of rules of personal conduct shall be reported to the Dean of Students. Penalties for such violations may be conduct probation, suspension from the University for a definite period of time, dismissal from the University, or such other penalties as may be provided in specific cases. Approval of Trips Trips planned by student groups or organizations must be approved in advance by the Office of Student Affairs. HOUSING REGULATIONS General Regulations All single undergraduate students under age twenty-one are required to reside in quarters approved by the University Students who have reached the age of twenty-one prior to or at the time of registration for a session are not subject to this requirement. No exceptions will be made. Approved Quarters General approval is given to the living quarters of the following undergraduate students of the University: 1) Those residing with parents (Permission must be obtained from the Office of Student Affairs for students to reside with close relatives.) 2. Those residing in quarters operated by the University 3) Those residing in men's and women's fraternity houses. 4) Those who reside in approved rooming houses, with or without cooking privileges. Rooming houses and householders are approved by the Office of Student Affairs if satisfactory adult supervision is provided and the householder agrees to enforce regulations of the University concerning the accommodations to be furnished and the conduct of the residents. Any approved facility is restricted to residence solely by men students or solely by undergraduate women students. 75
