More than 400 Burlington business firms will receive questionnaires from the employment committee of the llocal survey, asking for information to determine employment opportunities for Burlington Negroes.
John Klein, committee chairman, asked that business men return the filled out blanks as soon as possible. It is estimated the Negrom population here is about one percent of the total.
Klein said all information will be entirely confidential and no employers will be identified in the report scheduled for fall publication.
Other members of the committee are Raymond Larson, Chester Hunger, Paul Petersen, George Flaatten, William Kottkamp, Frank Schramm, Mrs. Dan Putney [?], James Lewis and Dan T. [?]
