[[Header in bold]] Survey [[end bold]] [[Subheading]] (Continued from Page One) [[Article text]] began, but continues now at an increased pace, with the city beginning to consider another survey to be taken five years hence. The Minneapolis survey seems remarkable in the light of the tremendous scope of the task. A city of more than half-million people, Minneapolis has done a more thorough job of self-investigation than any city half its size. As Fager mentioned, each city's survey is unique in that it must deal with that city's particular situation, and although one survey can assist another, each must provide its own effort, labor and determination. With Dr. Herman long, of the staff of Fisk University serving as consultant, the Burlington survey is being modeled on the Minneapolis survey. The revision in operation have been made, to make the survey applicable here, and the questionnaires have, for the large part, already been prepared. The survey now depends on community support and community interest. Its success depends entirely on community co-operation. Whether the city will provide that support and interest, as was the case in Minneapolis, remains to be seen.
