Complete One Phase of Self Survey Here The public accommodations phrase of the Self Survey being conducted in Burlington will be completed this week, it was announced today. The survey included checks by telephone of recreation spots, restaurants, hotels, barber shops, beauty parlors and taverns. Other parts of the Self Survey are being conducted by mail questionnaires. All information, according to the group in charge, is confidential. Material gathered will be checked and tabulated percentage-wise by an out-of-state statistics firm. The results will be given in a general manner by percentages, rather than citing individual incidents of prejudice. The education survey and a cross section of Negro families in Burlington is now underway. Other phases are health, housing and employment. The public accommodations committee is made up of Rev. Deane Chapman, Father Callistus Kramer, Joseph E. Braun, Lloyd Eberhart, Roy Paschon, R. W. Baxter, Mrs. Ruth Eaton, R. E. Pettigrew, Thomas Smith, and P. L. Mennen.
