May 8, 1967 Student Activities Bulletin Page 2 Saturday, May 13 Intra-varsity football game on practice field. "We Five" in concert, Fieldhouse, 7 p.m. Carni immediately afterward. INSTRUCTION FOR USE OF MAILING LIST A mailing list containing addresses of the presidents of professional fraternities, social fraternities, sororities, men's and women's residence hall associations and club presidents of The University of Iowa is available in the Office of Student Activities. Suggested Procedure for 200 or More Items Data processing is equipped to handle large mailing jobs quickly, efficiently and at relatively low costs to its customers. For example, Data Processing will fold, stuff, address, meter and mail your correspondence; however, such service will likely be economically out of range if the volume of correspondence is less than 200 items. For a minimum or 200 items, the usual cost for such services is less than $10. Should you select this method, the following procedure should be followed: 1. Secure your material such as: a. Envelopes b. Information to be inserted c. A requisition properly completed and signed (see Mr. Hutcheon) 2. Plan for a reasonable degree of leeway before your dead-line. 3. Work through the office of Student Activities and Mr. Hutcheon as a co-ordinating agent. Suggested Procedure for Less than 200 Items: If you do not have 200 items and desire to use the mailing list, it is recommended you use a modified procedure. Data Processing will print any portion or number of our mailing list for your use. These addresses will be reproduced on gum labels at a cost of a cent and a half per label. Delivery date on these labels can be expected within 24 hours after receipt of the requisition. If this alternative is selected, the organization would be required to stuff, affix labels and postage manually, but at a considerable financial saving and with the most economical use of the Data Processing facilities. Should you select this method, the following procedure should be followed: 1. Contact the Office of Student Activities and Mr. Hutcheon for assistance in preparing your requisition to Data Processing. 2. Request other material you will need such as paper, envelopes and postage. 3. Plan for a reasonable degree of leeway before your dead-line. Should either of these alternatives seem to serve the purposes of your organization, you are advised to work closely with Mr. M. W. Hutcheon, Office of Student Activities, IMU, 353-5761.
