May 26, 1967 Student Activities Bulletin Page 2 LAST MINUTE CHECK LIST FOR OFFICERS Listed below are a number of items which officers of student organizations should check prior to leaving campus. Follow-through on these last minute details is important to ensure smooth functioning during the coming year. 1. Submit any additional information concerning calendar dates which you have not yet had approved by the Student Activities Board. Contact Mr. Lyle Krewson, Student Body Vice President, who serves as Board Chairman and who is located in the Student Activities Center. 2. Reserve major facilities in the Iowa Memorial Union at the earliest possible date. Remember, if you attended the pre-scheduling meeting held on May 10, the facilities in which you expressed an interest will not be reserved for you until you contact Mrs. Jean Kendall in the IMJ Scheduling Office. 3. Turn in annual report for your organization to Miss Helen Reich, Assistant Director of the Office of Student Affairs, 111 University Hall, if you have not already done so. Extra copies can be secured from her receptionist. 4. All organizations except living units should turn in a completed questionnaire dealing with the individual liability study being conducted by the Office of Student Activities. Questionnaires should be submitted to Dr. Augustine in the Iowa Memorial Union. SUMMER OFFICERS SHOULD BE LISTED Any organization which plans to operate during the summer months with officers different from the regular academic year should notify the appropriate University offices with which they deal prior to the end of this semester. A list of summer officers should be presented in writing by the president of the organization to Miss Helen Reich, Assistant Director of the Office of Student Affairs, 111 University Hall. Mr. Waldo Geiger, Auditor of the Student Organizations Fund, 4 University Hall, should be notified in writing of any changes in authorized signatures for financial transactions which will be conducted during the summer months. New organizations should apply for temporary recognition to Dr. Roger D. Augustine, Office of Student Activities, first floor of the Iowa Memorial Union. STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS HANDBOOK COMING NEXT YEAR The Student Senate has endorsed a plan by its Student Organizations Committee to co-sponsor a Student Organizations Handbook next year in cooperation with the Office of Student Activities. The Handbook, a completely new publication, will contain an organizations directory with the names and addresses of their officers and advisors and a section explaining the University services available to student groups. Also to be included is a section outlining the procedures to be followed (Continued on page 3)
