ADVANCE PLANNING URGED FOR STUDENT EVENTS

The success and quality of a program are often dependent upon the amount of advance planning that precedes the event. A part of this advance planning includes securing proper clearance through registration, in accordance with the Code of Student Life. Although deadline dates are at times impossible to meet, some programs were not approved recently due to lack of time to secure clearance. In an effort to help you avoid problems such as this, the deadlines by which events should be registered in the Office of Student Activities are as indicated below.

EVENT                                              ADVANCED REGISTRATION

Programs for which admission is charged     1 week

Programs with speakers from off-campus     1 week

Events to distribute, sell or solicit                   1 week

Fund-raising events                                       1 week

Off-campus trips                                            2 weeks

Week-night social event                                24 hours

Week-end social event              5:00 p.m., preceding Wednesday

Out-of-town social event                                1 week

FINAL YEARBOOK SALES

Final sales for the 1968 Hawkeye are planned for December 1-8. This will be the final opportunity to order the yearbook. Copies will not be available this spring. For further information, contact Steve Seymour, 210 Communications Center.

The Office of Student Activities, formerly located on the first floor of the I.M.U. adjacent to the TV lounge, has moved to new offices on the ground floor between the Student Activities Center and the new Wheel Room.
