Student Activites Bulletin University of Iowa Office of Student Affairs Vol. II, No. 4 May 1, 1968 SPRING FESTIVAL IS COMING Spring Festival '68 breaks loose on campus Friday and Saturday, May 10 and 11. Scheduled this year are the Water Festival and Riverbanking Activities on Friday afternoon; the parade, crowning of the Spring Festival Queen, and street dance Friday night; and a concert followed by Carni on Saturday. Rumor has it that Gentle Thursday might precede the weekend. Participation points toward the overall trophy will be awarded to housing units and other participating organizations for publicity skits promoting Festival, displays promoting Festival, participation in Water Festival and Riverbanking, queen candidate advancement, and for excellence of the unit's Carni booth. Further information concerning Spring Festival participation will be mailed to all housing units and major campus organizations in the near future. STUDENT ORGANIZATION ANNUAL REPORTS DUE In accordance with the Code of Student Life, the presidents of all student organizations recently received annual report forms from the Office of Student Affairs. The annual report provides an opportunity for the Office of Student Affairs to review organizational programming, as well as providing the opportunity for the organization to evaluate past programs and plan future programs. These reports are to be turned in at the Office of Student Activities no later than 5:00 p.m., Friday, May 3, 1968. ATTENTION ALL STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS Calendar requests for the next academic year must be received by 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 7. You may leave them with the receptionist in the Activities Center or mail them to: Calendar Committee, Student Activities Board, Student Activities Center, IMU, Iowa City, Iowa. It is important that Activities Board receive the requests by this time in order that the Student Activities Calendar can be prepared and coordinated for next fall to better serve you and the student body. Please be sure to list the type, place, time, and date of the event. Also state who will be eligible to attend and if admission is charged.
