Office of Student Affairs - Student Activities Mr. Paul Dowdy has been appointed as an Activities Adviser in the Office of Student Activities in the Iowa Memorial Union. He has a B.M. degree from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas and a M.M. degree from Southern Methodist University. Honors include the Sigma Alpha Iota and the Pi Kappa Lambda Awards. Paul is currently working toward a Ph.D in choral literature at The University of Iowa. New Graduate Student Program Advisers in Activities Center The Iowa Memorial Union has three new graduate students as program advisers in the Activities Center. Mr. David H. Kremgold is arts adviser. He has a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts, an M.A. from The University of Iowa, and will secure his M.F.A. from The University of Iowa in June, 1969. Awards presented to him include the Brookfield Laboratories Scholarship and the Provincetown (Mass.) Workshop Scholarship. he is married, and has no children. Miss Anne Vandewinckel is adviser to the Hospitality and Recreation Committees. She has a B.S. in elementary education from State University College at Oswego, New York. Work experience includes three years as a kindergarten teacher. Anne is presently working toward her M.A. in Recreation Leadership with a concentration in College Union administration and outdoor recreation. Mr. Michael Giroir is from New Orleans, Louisiana, and has a B.S. from Louisiana State University. He is adviser to Promotions, and Dances and Entertainment. Professional affiliations or honors include Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities, Association of College Unions, Kappa Phi Kappa, and Phi Delta Kappa. Mike is a candidate for the M.A. in student personnel work with a specialization in college union administration. BLACK ACTION GROUP Wellman House of Burge is sponsoring a Black Action Group in 5th Wellman Lounge on October 30, 1968 at 7:00 p.m. All students, faculty and staff are invited to attend.
