The Human Relations Program employs the sensitivity training approach to individual learning as developed during the past twenty years by the National Training Laboratories. The human relations laboratory is designed to help each individual realize his own potential for growth more fully and to increase his ability to work effectively with others in a variety of situations. By increasing self-insight and be learning how to develop effective team work, individuals can join forces to bring about organizational change and improvement. During the laboratories, human relations staff members work with students in small groups, known as training groups or "T" groups, to accomplish these goals. Questions concerning any of the spring semester programs of the human relations program may be directed to Dr. Augustine or Mrs. Whitney in the Office of Student Activities, telephone 353-5761.
