September 10, 1969 STUDENT ACTIVITIES BULLETIN Page 5 Mrs. Fieselmann (known to many of you by her maiden name, Randee Schafroth) has joined the staff as an Activities Adviser. Activities at The University of Iowa are very familiar to Randee, as she has done all of her undergraduate work on this campus, and participated in many student organizations. IN addition to her work in our office, Randee will be working towards a master's degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling. Tony Kuznik will be beginning his academic career as a doctoral candidate in College Student Personnel Administration and will be serving in the Office of Student Activities as a Research Assistant. Tony received his B.S. from Bemidji State College in Bemidji, Minnesota. He earned a Master's degree in education from Moorhead State College. We know that you will enjoy meeting and becoming acquainted with each of our new staff members in the near future. READ THIS IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEER SERVICE There is something new in the Office of Student Affairs this fall--a Student Volunteer Service Bureau. Many students have expressed an interest in doing volunteer work in the Iowa City community, but don't know where to start or who to contact to bring this about. It is in response to these problems that the Bureau has been initiated. Now any student interested in doing volunteer work can go to the Bureau, and receive complete information about the volunteer opportunities in the Iowa City community, be referred to the appropriate agency representative, and learn what it means to be a volunteer. The Student Volunteer Service Bureau will be coordinated by Mrs. Marcia Whitney, and is located in the Office of Student Activities. If you are interested in learning more about this service, stop by the office, ground floor, Iowa Memorial Union, or call Mrs. Whitney, 353-5761. CONTACT '69 Contact '69 is the theme for University of Iowa Orientation this year. The theme suggests personal involvement and friendliness which are important to a successful orientation program. The general chairmen for this year's program are Lora Kluever and Alan Rossman. Two new events that have been added to Contact '69 are "Kaleidoscope of the Arts" and a Recreation Night at the field house. Here is the schedule for coming Contact '69 events:
