WANT TO LEARN ABOUT CITIZEN ACTION GROUPS?

The Unitarian Universalist Society of Iowa City is presenting an interesting series of programs which are open to the public. The Society is providing a platform for citizen action groups to introduce and explain themselves to the public --- especially to recent arrivals in Iowa City. The format is like this:
7:45 Pre-meeting coffee
8:00 Action groups present themselves (usually three per program with 30-minute presentation and discussion)
9:30 Post-meeting coffee and conversation

The next two programs are . . .
October 2: Iowa City Chamber of Commerce
Hawkeye Area Community Action Program
Iowa City Community Theater

October 9: American Friends Service
Citizens for a Better Iowa City
Hawkeye Area Legal Services Society

The Unitarian Universalist Society is located . . .
4 blocks East of Old Capitol, 1/2 block North of Civic Center
Corner of Gilbert Street and Iowa Avenue.

October 9 U.B. Music Concert in the Main Lounge at 8:00 pm

October 10 U.B. Swing in the Ballroom at 8:00 pm

October 15 Concert Series -- Symphony in the Main Lounge at 8:00 pm
