The students will act as hosts and guides for prospective students, conduct sessions on class scheduling and help register new students. The summer job is available under the work-study program. The job, which guarantees $250.00, involves 64 work hours plus 50 additional hours of training sessions. The assigned work hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on July 9, 10, 13, 14, 16, 17, 20 and 21. The training sessions will be scheduled in May or June. Applications are available in the Office of Student Activities in the Iowa Memorial Union, the Activities Center (IMU), or from Robert Leahy, Chairman of the orientation committee. TO SHOW NAZI DRAWINGS The thirty life-size Nazi drawings by Professor Mauricio Lasansky of The University of Iowa School of Art have come home for their first showing to be next month in the city where they were made between 1961 and 1966. They will be on exhibition in the University of Iowa Museum of Art from January 11th through February 25th. The brutality and avarice which they depict as unleashed in human beings by war have riveted the attention of those who have seen the drawings in eight major art museums since their initial showing at the Philadelphia Museum of Art early in 1967. Lasansky's drawings were exhibited in Mexico City early in 1969 at the invitation of the government of Mexico, with a catalogue printed in Spanish. Copies of the catalogue printed in English for the Philadelphia premiere of the drawings will be available at The University of Iowa exhibition. It reproduces all thirty of the drawings in full color. FORD FOUNDATION OFFERS FELLOWSHIPS TO 4 ETHNIC GROUPS The University of Iowa students from Afro-American, Mexican-American, Puerto Rican and American Indian backgrounds have been invited to apply for graduate study fellowships in programs begun for the 1970-71 year by the Ford Foundation.
