MEMORANDUM

To: Student Organization Presidents

Subject: Space in Fieldhouse During Spring Registration

Student organizations will be permitted the use of the East Concourse area in the fieldhouse during the spring registration period, January 26-27, 1970. As in the past, organizations that desire the use of such space will be assigned one table in the concourse area to set up displays, distribute literature, attract new members, etc.

The size of the concourse area limits the number of tables that may be set up for use by organizations. We do not anticipate enough table space to accommodate all the requests for such space. Therefore, in order to give each organization an equal chance to secure space, the tables will be assigned on a random basis on Friday, January 16, 1970, using the request forms that we have received as of that date. If your organization wishes to be assigned a table, please detach the bottom portion of this memo, fill in the necessary information, and return it to the Office of Student Activities, Iowa Memorial Union. This should be returned and in our office no later than January 16, in order to insure that your group will be included in the random selection process. Should we have extra space, the remainder of the tables will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you indicate that your organization would like the use of such space, either you or your designated representative will be notified by January 19, 1970, as to whether or not you were assigned space. You will receive further information at that time regarding the use of this space if your group is assigned a table. In the space designated "Address" on the bottom of this form, please provide the appropriate address where such information should be sent.
