If so, then you should join CIRUNA, the Council on International relations and United Nations Affairs. The University of Iowa chapter of CIRUNA is devoted to "responsible participation in international relations activities" (the Iowa CIRUNA constitution). Membership is open to all University of Iowa students. The CIRUNA office in the Iowa Memorial Union's Student Activities Center is formally open weekdays from 12:30-1:30 and 3:30-4:30.
   The CIRUNA second semester program looks like this:
February 6 - World University Service - CIRUNA coordination meeting, 3:00 p.m. Union Spoke Room, beginning of second semester service drives.
February 11 - Great Decisions "Soviet Union: What Course for the Kremlin in the 1970's?", 8:00 p.m. Northwestern Room, Iowa Memorial  Union.
February 14 - Simulation Game "Dangerous Parallels," 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Yale Room, Iowa Memorial Union.
February 18-21 Midwest Model United Nations, St. Louis, Missouri.
February 25 - Great Decisions "Does United States Policy Promote Military Rule South of the Border?", 8:00 p.m. Northwestern Room, Iowa Memorial Union.
February 27-28 Symposium: Global Pollution, Iowa City, Iowa.
March 3-7 - CIRUNA Conference, "Campus, Corporation, Quality of Life," Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa.
March 8 - CIRUNA Regional Student Leadership Institute on World Affairs, Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa.
March 10 - Annual Meeting, The University of Iowa CIRUNA chapter, 8:00 p.m., Yale Room, Iowa Memorial Union (election of president).
March 11 - Great Decisions "France: After the Gaulle, a New Deal for France's Allies?", 8:00 p.m., Northwestern Room, Iowa Memorial Union.
March 13-15 - Iowa Model United Nations, Ames, Iowa
