[[handwriting]] File Student Services Student Activities Bulletin University of Iowa Office of Student Affairs PLEASE POST Vol. IV, No. 10 February 18, 1970 "CAN MAN SURVIVE?" (MAN: AN ENDANGERED SPECIES?) On April 22, here and across the nation, there will be a TEACH-IN to focus attention on pollution an environmental problems. Project Survival is supporting the TEACH-IN by encouraging creative, imaginative productions in the arts to direct attention to the problems and to stimulate personal, direct involvement toward creative solutions. Areas of the arts are encouraged to submit projects to use in the TEACH-IN. Any student currently registered at the University is Eligible to submit a project. Invitations for such creative productions are sought from the following areas: Photography Poetry Rhetoric Music Journalism Drama Painting Dance Writing Film Sculpture Productions chosen to be used in the TEACH-IN will be offered an honorarium from $10.00 to $100.00. Rights of ownership will remain with the producer. Productions MUST BE SUBMITTED BY APRIL 15 to the: Survival Information Pool Student Activities Center Iowa Memorial Union 353-5461 The scope of the TEACH-IN takes a broad, global view, ecologically oriented, including man as part of nature, but cognizant of man's uniqueness as an ethical, rational being, whose technological genius must now be evaluated from new perspectives.
