April 29, 1970 STUDENT ACTIVITIES BULLETIN Page 3 "love sun-days" Love those beautiful sunny Iowa afternoons? Make the most of a lovely day by joining with other students on Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 10 to celebrate "love sun-days." Activities on Saturday will take place on the Iowa River bank. There will be music singing, concessions and the highlight of the afternoon will be a water show presented by the University of Iowa Water Ski Club at 2:00 p.m. On Sunday the activities will move out to the Macbride Field Campus. The University of Iowa Sailing Club will provide free Sail Boat Rides. Recreation will be frisbies, badmitten, volleyball, softball games and kite-flying (beware of kite-eating trees). All events are free! The spectacular happening of the day will be continuous music provided by groups like the Strawberry Alarm Clock, Daybreakers, Kellogg-Sully, Water, and others. Bring your own lunch or buy your lunch there. It will be a blast! Because of the lack of parking space at the Macbride Field Campus, Union Board urges you to take advantage of their bus shuttle servie which will be provided every 30 minutes starting at 12:00 p.m. Buses will leave from the east entrance of the Union. See you there! MEDIA LIBRARY A collection of non-print educational materials is available to the staff and students of the University of Iowa.The objective of the University of Iowa Audio-Visual Center is to make accessible a library of non-print instructional materials. The library contains over 7,000 16 mm motion pictures, an acquisition of new films on "NOW" subjects, including television documentary films, limited collections of 2 x 2 slides, filmstrips, dis recordings, magnetic tapes, and complete audio and visual previewing facilities. "MOONLIGHT SCOTCH DOUBLES"... ..is a bowling tournament sponsored by Union Board's Billard and Bowling Committee. The game is based on the following principles: the girl throws the first ball, the guy throws the second, and of course the highest scoring couple wins. The tournament will be May 1 from 7:00-8:00 in the Iowa Memorial Union
