ABERRATION a play by DOC LOWNDES & DICK WILSON Scene: A dark, dirty, dingy waterfront off Red Hook. Low tide. Rotting corpses can be seen where water has receded. Some are tied or chained to weighty objects. A shaggy dog enters L., shakes itself splashily; several crabs roll off its back and scuttle off R. after dog. Sneezes heard off center then a titter and a low voice murmuring 'oh'. Discovered: Stephanie rinsing her hair with golden wash. She is a red-head as curtain opens. She ducks pretty pretty hair into basin and comes up a metallic-gold blonde. No moisture visible; she pours sand from basin over in one corner, smiles knowingly, and kicks off her sandals. There is a drone of propellors from above, and sound of wood splintering. The drone grows fainter, ending in a crash. Young man drops headfirst at Stephanie's feet. KLAXIN (getting to sitting position): Damn those pigeons! STEPHANIE: Your petticoat's showing. KLAXIN: Who are you? STEPHANIE: Trite question number 657a. You birdmen are all alike.
