When you come in to the Convention Hall, you will notice little tables around the walls where will be displayed not only the things that are to be auctioned off at the Official Auction, but also items that various fans have for sale or trade. We also expect to have some fine displays of various collectors items, loaned by local members which will be displayed for your pleasure (and envy). We have already received a number of fine original pictures, both black and white and also color covers both finished and roughs. Mary Gnaedinger, of Famous Fantastic Mysteries, has been most kind and generous, and her donation includes some beautiful Lawrence, both black and colored, of recent issues, such as "The Island of Capt. Sparrow" "The Undying Monster", and "The Novel of the Black Seal", and others. PLANET, which sent a group, included a Leydenfrost, and others. Donations from several other pros are expected, but have not arrived at this writing. Yes, we will have a grand auction, and you'll certainly want to be on hand and get in on the action and interesting bidding and the even-more-interesting by-plays that go on amongst the audience while the auction is in progress. P.S. Bring your pocket-book. EEE COSTUME BALL BEMS AND BELLES WILL MINGLE IN COLORFUL PAGEANTRY. One of the highlights of interest at all Conventions is the Costume Ball, where everyone tries to outdo the others with the costumes of famous or outre characters from the stories you have read. Remember Evans' "Bird Man from Rhea"; Ackerman's "Hunch-back of Notre Dame"; Morojo's "AKKA" from The Moon Pool; Heinlein's "World's Most Life-like Robot"; Widner's "Granny" from SIan, and many others at the Denvention?
