istic" costumes at the Nycon? Remember Lowndes and Kyle with the elaborate costumes designed and made by Leslie Perri, at the Chicon? Well, this year we can expect bigger and better costumes than ever before, for we have had delicate hints that many fen are planning finer costumes than ever before. We may expect BEMs and MONSTERS from every solar system and dimension; famous characters from the stories you have read and loved, and every kind of costume that the fertile mentalities of fen (the best fertilized minds in existence) do be able to thunk up. Be sure to attend --- and come costumized! (A darned cute word, that.) You'll have a barrel of fun, especially if you come in a barrel! EEE MEMBERSHIP MEMO TAKE A LETTER, MISS FANNIE! You who joined the PACIFICON way, way back In 194l, may wonder just what is the status of that original. Well here's the, dope. (oops, no comma.) You who have not already done so in response to previous calls, may write us and donate your original buck, stating that you have no further interest in fandom. You may write and say you are still interested, and here's another buck. (Gad, we love you wonderful folks!) Taking into consideration a well-known fact that work was done and money spent back In 1941 BEFORE we knew that we could not hold PACIFICON in '42, you may send us an additional 46¢ to make an even dollar available for pres- ent use, and thus become an active 1946 member. Or — you may write us that you are no longer interested in Fandom, and that you would like your money returned, and we will send you the 51¢ left out of your original dollar. (You will note that we have restrained ourselves from making any comment about this.) ((3¢ deducted for postage.)) But whatever or, however, WE WANT YOU TO BE A MEMBER of the PACIFICON. So, send us that dollar today if you haven't already done so. Thanksl EEE JOIN NOW ---- PACIFICON 9
