Y.', written on the same typewriter as the above, and bearing the following, signed 'Z': Spring is here so green white and blue Flowers bud out so clean fresh and new The moon shines down so white and true Stars stay out late evenings don't you? JUNE 20: A postcard postmarked 'Station L' and 'New York, N. Y.', written on the same machine, and bearing the following, signed 'Y': Summer is here and it's so darn hot Of warmth there certainly is a lot The sun pours down a shower of heat And we bathe in sweat from head to feet JULY 22: A picture postcard (W. F. 15 - Transportation Building, Rocket Port, New York World's Fair 1939) postmarked 'Station C' and 'New York N. Y.' written on the same machine, and bearing the following, signed 'w': O cruel fate that thou permittest an unnamable mad poet to rend his insane glimmerings to one damon knight who is bound to go crazy from suspense JULY 23: (Typing on all four 'fneh' letters having checked with various Ivory Tower missives) a postcard addressed 'Mad Poet, 2574 Bedford Avenue, Brooklyn, New York' bearing the following: If the papers are as truthful As the papers ought to be; If you've really had a heatwave That drove jerks into the sea; If the heat deaths have amounted, In New York State, to 2, Why in the name of Klono Couldn't one of them be [underlined] you [/underlined] ? -finis- ------------ o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o ------------
