#4 Special Support Services Students participating in SSS should have their financial questionnaires completed and returned to Eddie Burnett by April 3 to be considered for an award during the 72-73 school term. The questionnaires should also be stamped "Special Support Services". If they are not stamped, please take them to 204 Gilmore. If you have not received the financial questionnaire, please pick one up from Eddie Burnett at 106 Old Dental Building. His office hours are: 9:30-2:00, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. NOTICE There will be a meeting at the House on Wednesday, February 16th. This meeting will cover any new business that is brought up. Be sure to come and bring any suggestions or criticisms to the meetings Come andshare your ideas with all! If you can not make the meetings, call the Chicano house and some arrangements will be made to pick you up. These meetings are important to attend---these meetings are for you. The Chicano Class The Chicano Class will resume the weekly session beginning Monday, February 14th. These sessions will cover topics dealing with Chicano culture, history, and other Chicano thoughts. If you wish to know classes or conduct such a class, call the Chicano House for more information. Become Involved! Test Time How is your Chicano I.Q.? Who was Cortez? This is just a sample of the types of questions you would have to find an answer to. Try out your general knowledge of your heritage and your culture. It might open a whole new path and purpose for you. Stop by the House anytime and take the test. (By the way, you have the option of taking it P-F.) This is a fun test that helps you to think a little harder and it could result to be of a great interest to you all. So come and bring your pencil. See ya there! P.S. You say you are chicana! They say---are you Chicana? True---brown is beautiful. But does thatmean if you aren't brown you're not a part of your heritage? What really matters is how you feel inside---not how you look. I am Chicana. Looks are not that important, it's your hear that shows your real color. Your skin is only a secondary matter.
