7 CIDEC (CENTRO INTERNACIONAL DE EXPERIMENTACION CULTURAL, A.C.) INTERNATIONAL CENTER OF CULTURAL EXPERIENCE, A.C. SPANISH LANGUAGE COURSE FOR PARTICIPANTS: CIDEC offers Spanish Language course for those persons wishing to learn and make Spanish their second language; principally, those whose objective it is to relate directly or indirectly to Spanish-speaking persons of the Latin American culture. Our primary objective is to promote dialogue between Latin Americans and non-Latins. The method used in teaching this course is "aculturativo;" that is to say, to facilitate the process of learning the language at the same time the person discovers the mentality underlying this language. All of this takes place through directly and personally experiencing the Latin American culture, in specified areas required by the course. These courses are offeredduring the months of May, June, July and August, commencing the first Monday of every month. The classes (five hours per day) are conducted Monday through Friday in the headquarters of CIDEC or in such other places as required by the particular theme of the class. The tuitionis $100.00 per month ($1,250 pesos) payable upon registration. This sum includes only the course itself. In cases where room and board are required, CIDEC will assist in locating housing with meals and laundry service for the candidate. The cost for this additional service (room, board and laundry service) is $120.00 per month ($1,500 pesos). It should be noted that this amount does not cover transportation or incidentals. CIDEC is an independent centerhaving already specialized for three years in the preparation of foreign personnel for work in Latin America and is now making its services available at other levels of the same or even greater importance such as: - Assistance to foreign personnel already working in Latin America. - Assistance to foreign personnel in the process of re-entry to their culture of origin upon termination of their work in Latin America. - Assistance to Latin Americans working with foreign personnel Latin America. - Assistance to persons from other countries working with Latin Americans outside of Latin America. CIDECprovides these services in Mexico City and will arrange special programs for groups in other countries upon request and by mutual agreement concerning dates, finances, location, etc. Correspondence and inquiriesrelated to these services are most welcome and may be directed to: Sr. Rafael Legaria c/o Chicano Indian Cultural Center 115 N.
