TINO'S CULTURAL CANTINA TINO'S CULTURAL CANTINA TINO'S CULTURAL CANTINA The Fourth Annual "FESTIVAL DE LOS TEATROS CHICANOS" will be held in San Jose, Califas during June 15 to 24. The event has been held each year since 1970 when it was first hosted in Fresno by El Teatro Campesino. Ever since then Teatros from Aztlan, the barrios of the Midwest and Mexico have met once a year to present their art and message to each other and the surrounding community. This year teatros from Mexico, Colombia, and Brazil are planning to attend besides the numerous teatros from Aztlan. The FESTIVAL promises to be one of the best and most significant events of the year for the Chicano Movement. The FESTIVAL will be hosted by Teatro Nacional de Aztlan, the national coalition of teatros and El Teatro de La Gente, the local teatro group in San Jo. From the Midwest El Teatro De Los Barrios, from South Chicao, and members of El Teatro Espejo Del Pueblo, Chicago (summer) and Iowa City, plan to attend. We wish Daniel Valdez and TENAZ a joyous and liberating gathering of the teatros and may the Chicano vibes reach the people. +++ Cesar Chavez visited Chicago on June 3 of this month to launch the GRAPE BOYCOTT in the cities of the North. The grape pickers in the fields are on strike again for the renewal of the contracts the Ranchero-Teamster Conspiracy denied them. A Marcha of Alegria was also held in Chicago on that day to celebrate Cesar,s visit and to let the world know that the United Farm Workers will win and will continue to struggle until the Victory. ++++ A word of encouragement and carnalismo goes to Diana Gutierrez a Chicana from Iowa City who is organizing with the UFW in Chicago this summer. +++ The same for Miguel Rodriguez +++ PARA LOS QUE LUCHAN SU RECOMPENSA ES LA VICTORIA. +++ SALUDOS PARA NELSON, JOSE,ROBERTO,PAT Y GUSTAVO.
