8 ******** LA PAGINA DEL DESTRAMPE ******** Otra Vez ..La JUNTA...... The Chicano Indian American Student Union had another meeting with the president of the University of Iowa, President Willard C. Boyd. This time the meeting did achieve some sort of consensus as to the needs and demands that the Chicano and Indian Student Union had been asking (demanding) for the last three years. As a result, the administration is fearful that the CIASU could and will file, if they do not do certain things, a suit with the Department of Education and Welfare as to how the Chicano and Indian have been excluded from administrative and academic positions and also how the university has turned a deaf ear to the demands of CIASU for more Chicano and Indian students. As of now the university is still thinking (?) as to how soon to implement the position as agreed in the meeting, of a Chicano Recruitment Positions that at the same time would aid in other administrative duties. This positions is in no way the only and final demand that the Chcano Indian ASU will press. ********** ******* Lo que sigue es puro destrampe que a sucedio aqui and la Universidad de Iowa.
