FANTASICONGLOMERATION A Topsy Publication (It Jes Grew) Jes, this is a Topsy Pub, not to be confused with a Mopsy Pub, or maybe it should be termd Topsy Turvy, certainly the whole thing is confusing enuf. Originly the cover was going to constitute my entire contribution to this mailings. Set me back about 7 bucks, U noe, & quite a bit of selection & paste-up time, even effen it hadda been only a one-sheeter, so shuddup. A few dates & further dope may be desirable about the cover. Top-left of Daugherty was shot at Denvention. Fan shoving stogie in mouth of naked man who lost all his meat ration points was one of the old Plutionian clan at the Chicon. Rubberoid masque macabre fashiond by stf-reader * artist of LA, Sgt Ray Harryhausen. Walt's waltz with Pogo shot about '38. Foto of Fearn now 5 yrs or more old. About the chin-fuzz chap with the "?" on his schnozz, I noe nothing. "4e" is me about 4 yrs ago, emerging exuberantly from a bk-shop exhibiting my purchases. The Freehafer foto is fairly recent; Conover dates back a lustrum. All I noe about the Bloch Beer was that it was Not Near. JiMooney had a few illustrations in local fmz, later WT, Cosmic andor Stirring. Daredevil bike driver Kuttner did not look noticably difrent when I last saw him a ur or so ago than he did in this fairly old foto; the preserving powers of alcohol, evidently. This guy Gauer I noe next to nothing about. Had a letter in Vom. Mem the Milwaukee FIctioneers, I bliev. Lou Sampliner was (is?) a first reader, asst ed or something the sort on AmS & FA, as far as I noe. Rap read Unknown, U notice. The bearded Widner was one of the 7 wonders of the Denvention. To whom it may concern: Even I (at least in this instance) have succumbd to composing direct on stencil. Anyway, then I thot I'd like to reproduce one of the pix from Pertinent, along with the article... Elarcy sent me his sis's story...got the comicards from Tucker (copyd below)...&, well, thus did this grow. Is still growing. How much more there'll be I've no way of noeing. Only this morning Daugherty gave me a couple cartoons (already stencild) one or both of which I think I'll use. And, if there's time, I'd like to present a Vomaiden by & introduction to my new protege, Karl Wlech--along the line of Paul Freehafer's "Presenting Ron Clyne" lastime. Lastly (praps) there'll be a litho by Alva Rogers, LASFS mem. This is presented as an ad, a sample of the 6 pix to be had in Vomaidens Portfolio #3. Five of the six drawings are litho's, including Clyne & Welch. Now ready. Cost, 35c. From Bx 6475 Met Stn, LA-14. Incidently, hope U omnivorous fmz readers won't get tired of this gal's face all over the place, as it was no costlier to take 1000 copys than the 200 which the edition runs, so the rest I'm distributing as ads. Well, that's all of my stuff & jokes, fokes. I'll turn U over to a really funny fellow, now--Bob Tucker. [boxed ad text left] On 31 Feb the fan known as Pong died. Or was "divorced". Emulating the new #2 face, the combo of Tucker-Pong, established 10 yrs, has gone phhhhtttt. This is a hoax, foax. He is survived by H.P. Ponghoff. Tucker was once his creator. Their stickiness for one another went from gluey to fooey. Now these 2 entitys go their seperate ways, in fandom, in the world and in heaven. Tuck'll carry on Zom. Le Pong intends to kick up his heels and "carry on". Just watch him drink!! [end box] [boxed ad text right] VOICE OF THE AMALGAMATION ---------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------- Miracles are said to happen! A rejuvenation! Pong sober again! ------------------------------------------ After 3 days dead, Le Zombie Pong, alias H.P. Ponghoff, alias John W. Campong Jr. alias Alden Norpong, alias Leo Margulipong, returned from limbo with that old bottle in his hand. He and Tuck is a team a'gin. Drunken twosome become sodden threesome as Mary Gnaepong too returns to the bar. [end box] "Tucker is out 2¢ anyway by the publication of these postcards."
