Page Thirty -- Science Fiction Collector -00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00- would be appreciated very much if some kind readers would purchase small congragulatory (or any other kind) of ad in this issue. You can buy as many as forty words for a dime if you wish. As this issue is to be well circulated, it might be advisable to purchase full or half-page ads. You can have a full page ad for a $ or a half page for 1/2$. Quite reasonable, eh? Let's see some action, fellows! Among the material scheduled is a beautiful short story by Lee Grager, a story no professional magazine would or could publish. It is called "The Musician" -- and is certainly the equal of practically any professionally published story...R.R Winterbotham has an article in which he compares various types of s-f fans to reptiles -- quite cleverly presented...Charles D. Hornig asks "Why Not Esperantism?"...Sam Moskowitz presents one of his best articles, "Uncrowned Masters," in which he approaches a subject new to fan magazines. A "thought variant" article, and a long one, too...These and many, many others are represented in the forthcoming issue of FANTASCIENCE DIGEST. And don't forget those ads. Jim Avery doubts the existence of Fred F. Fischer, science fiction fandom's discovery of 1939. He doesn't believe a fan, totally unknown to the fan world, could spring into such brilliant prominence in such a short time. However, Mr. Fischer certainly does exist -- and so...It seems that the Futurians have quite a champion in Dale Hart. He ever objects to H. Koenig's quotations from their publications. Teh, tah...We wonder who the culprit who sez Will Sykora that Christmas card is? Maybe one of his friends will rat on him to collect the twenty-five bucks. Who can tell? -- the end --
