GALAXY.................................... away. Jack turned to Sanders, trying to reach the palce that hurt with one hand while trying to keep his balance with the other. "Whaddya mean, you long eared baboon? Trying to commit homicide or something?" Dick grinned at him and left the room, slamming the door with unnecessary force as he went out. Jack put away his cleaning materials and, fingering his electron gun, sat on the edge of his bunk, trying to figure, how many times he would have to stand guard duty for "disorderly conduct" to say nothing of the extra times to soothe the Lieutenant's wounded dignity. Dick Sanders hurried down the hall, reviewing swiftly his past misdemeanors and wondering if the "Old Man" had learned of his recent dissembling of the Cyclone. He discarded the thought as premature, the accident occurred only a few hours before and the ships were inspected every morning. He was shown into the sanctum immediately upon his arrival. He saluted and stood at attention. The Captain looked at him a moment and then spoke. "There's been a robbery on Io. The I.D.A. transport ship, landing for the shipment of Mythol, found the attendants dead, the station wrecked. Also the Mythol missing. The I.D.A. has reported the theft and has offered a reward for the capture of the pirates. Do you think you can handle it?" Dick's eyes sparkled. "When do I start sir?" Captain Brunswick nodded his approval. "Immediately. I've already ordered a ship fueled and stocked. You may take another man with you. Give this slip to the chief mechanic and he will turn the ship over to you. Good Luck." "Thank you, sir." Sanders turned away and went back to his quarters in a dash. Here was the chance for promotion that he had been waiting for so long. If he found the drug thieves he would probably be made a Lieutenant!
