He found himself thinking in terms of "death march" and the like and decided to tear his thooughts away from the subject in order to keep his nerve up. He stole a glance at Jack's face and saw that the same thoughts were probably going in in his mind too. Hisface wore a martyr look that would have been comical if it had'nt been so prophetic. When they reached the airlock their suits were given them and Dick wondered why. He came to the conclusion that it was to remove all the incriminating evidence from the ship. The cow-faced individual and his companion also donned space suits and forced the two patrolmen out of the airlock. They marced behind the patrolmen and headed them in the direction between the two ships. Sanders and Matthews walked in silence not wishing to give their captors the pleasure of hearing them whine. If they were being led to the slaughter at least they would'nt squeal like pigs! They had walked almost to the top of the range when Sanders halted. He missed something. At first he could'nt remember what it was, then, he knew. It was the soft squishy sound of footsteps behind them that was missing. No one objected because they halted, their captors were gone! Sanders turned to Matthews who stared around him in bewilderment. They looked at each other sheepishly. "Guess they meant what they said when they said they'd turn us loose." Sanders shook his head puzzled, "They could'nt have. It just is'nt possible. They know that we'll be able to identify them." He brightened, "maybe they've wrecked our ship or
