PLENUM Page twelve [[illustration text]] Den Books Records File Books Books Shelves (8 layers) Mags 10' 9' [[end illustration text]] Fig. 78.-- Metridium marginatum, partly cut away so as to show its structure. books, Armed Services Editions and other pocket books, science, philosophy, and mathematics, plus mimeo, photo, and radio supplies. The filing cabinet is four years old, and is just about completely full. On top sits the Speedoprint. Top drawer is correspondence, with my current correspondents in folders. That's because I just got folders. There's also folders for stuff like rockets (mostly Swisher and Stanley), papers from various schools, army papers, income tax, newspaper clippings, and about six inches of manuscripts. Next two drawers are fanzines -- a very incomplete collection -- arranged alphabetically by title, and I have forgotten the titles of most of them. Separate folders for Philco, Nycon, Chicon, Denvention, etc. Bottom drawer is solid full of FAPA mailings, each in its manila folder. The bookcase within arms reach of the desk contains technical books, dictionaries, and stuff I happen to be studying at the moment. Nice, isn't it? Unfortunately, it's not quite big enough for holding club meetings. Contains about five people comfortably. Ten if you kvetch. FANORAMA: Shows possibilities for the future. DUNK LETTER: Sorry, I'm firmly against not-counting mailing comments for credit. For the simple reason that in many cases (including mine, of course) such comments contain thoughts that I simply haven't bothered to divide into separate articles.
