THE BUSY FAN'S HANDY LETTER*ANSWERER Frankly, fan are you rushed for time? Is your 24 hour schedule already crowded to capacity? Have you no time to answer those trifling letters the younger fans are constantly sending you? Do you wish to be rid of those pests? Then use our handy letter answering blank form, reproduced below. Simply use your name where we use ours. Permission will be readily granted to use this form by merely writing. Or if you lack a meno we will be glad to print up a supply of these blanks for your use, for a modert fee of course. ---------------------------- Mr Tucker has not answered your letter for the reason checked: ( ) Mr Tucker is temporarily detained in durance vile. ( ) Mr Tucker has just heard a Voice and is busy writing a story for Amazing Adventures. ( ) Mr Tucker has resigned from fandom to enter a monastery. Contact him when he comes out. ( ) M. Tucker is busy organizing a new amateur press association and has gone into seclusion to compose a constitution. ( ) Mr. Tucker doesn't wish to correspond with you because of your lower social standing. ( ) Mr. Tucker has committed suicide and cannot be reached for the next couple of years. ( ) Mr. Tucker has withdrawn from fan circles until once again he is voted number one fan. ( ) M. Tucker is stencilling a fanzine to appear in 1950 and cannot enter into correspondence before that date. ( ) Mr. Tucker is writing a book; please don't bother him. ( ) Mr. Tucker recognizes you as a critic of some years ago and will not answer your letter until you apologize. ( ) Mr. Tucker is in Alaska on a lecture tour. If you desire to have him address your club, please send him your address. ( ) Mr. Tucker is vacationong at a love camp in the Osarks. ( ) Mr. Tucker is annoyed by you. Go away. ( ) Mr Tucker is busy writing a sequel to the Skylark series. Write him in ten years ( ) Mr Tucker has lost his writing arm in an accident and can't answer your letter till he grows another ( ) Mr Tucker has been killed in a gang war in L.A. and can't be reached for a few years ( ) Mr Tucker is building a Spaceship to visit some friends on Mars, go away
