had the nite off & I had a 3:30 off so went down there for supper. We sat & played cards most of the evening. Alot of people there & we tho't they'd never leave. We had to keep the kids entertained & what a job. We got to bed about 3:30 AM & I had to get up at 6:00 to get on duty by 7:00. All day I've been walking in my sleep. My eye keeps getting blacker from when I fell down & people keep thinking I had a hard nite. Really didn't tho. I drank a toast to you darling at midnite. I missed you so & wanted you so. Just to be near you -- to talk to you would be absolute heaven. I tried to call Mom several times tonite but no go. She & Dad must be out for the evening. I sent my radio to Dad [with] Appleegate & forgot it was a holiday. I told
