Saving...
January 12, 1946 My dearest Carroll, Hi darling! Sat nite & it's so cold and everyone is spending a quiet evening at home. We have a fire built in the fire place & we're listening to the hit parade now. They're playing "Let it Snow." Have you heard it? Really a cut piece. Couple of the kids just left to get some hamburgers & cokes so suppose there will be a party before long. And I am hungry. I slept thru supper tonite. Didn't intend to but I really slept today. Was supposed to go downtown & pay my district dues today & they couldn't make me get up some someone else paid for me. The deadline is the 15th so I'm glad it's taken care of. I was very happy when I got up today. I had 2 most wonderful letters from you. Written the 18th & 20th. It's always so wonderful to hear
