Saving...
January 22, 1946 My dearest Carroll, Hi darling! Here goes [with] not much news but more trouble & alot of loving for one swell fellow. Jeepers, honey, this is one of those many lonely nites I have cuz you're not here [with] me. Just to be near you -- to hear your voice. Darling I love you so very very much. I tell you that over & over & each time it means more. You are my whole life, honey. Got one perfect letter from you today. They mean everything to me. You seem to be getting abit more adjusted & abit happier now & I'm glad. When you're so down in the dumps, hon, so am I. This waiting is absolute torture darling but to think how perfectly happy we'll be when you do get home it helps some but very little. Every day, every wk. every month that passes just helps that much & it all can't seem to pass
