February 18, 1946 My dearest Carroll, Hi darling! Got a most wonderful letter from you today. It always makes me so happy & lifts my morale a hundred per cent when I do hear from you. You see darling you mean everything to me. You are my very life & happiness. Your letter was written while you were at the resort. It sounds heavenly darling & I how I wish I were there. I know I would like it and being with you would make any place wonderful. But to go on with the bit of news I have. Per usual not much has been going on. Yesterday was very quiet day at the cottage.
