Oct 2, 1945 My Dearest Evelyn, Hiya honey! Just me again, telling little news and sending much love. Its true honey, there really isn't any news, but I wanted to write anyway. At least a few lines. Since I wrote you last night I haven't done a darned thing. Got up for breakfast then just started messing around. Talked and read the rest of the morning. This afternoon has been almost the same way. I didn't manage to go to the library for another book so guess I'm out of luck for tomorrow. Go on guard at midnite until four o'clock.
