We were in the Foothills of the Alps and could look up and see the snow covered tops. Also it was fall and all the trees were turning colors. Looking out across the vallies it was like a rainbow. Every thing was so trim and neat that it looked more like a huge park. There were little villages set back in the hills and they were spic and span. Looked as if all they did was clean and trim. I can't discribe it as it looked homey, but it really was very beautiful. Well, we got in here last night, but they weren't expecting us so we had to spend the night in our boxcars. This morning they picked us up and brought us out to our quarters & I've been
