Oct 25, 1945 My Dearest Evelyn, Hi darling! Here goes with a bit of the local news. Mostly I just wanted to tell you that I loved you one more time. The other night after I finished your letter I went to mail it and found it was raining. Darling, I just love to sleep while its raining and I took full advantage of it. It always seems so peaceful or something. Got up the next morning and got ready for work. I was to count trucks as they brought wood in to be sawed. Pretty rough morning.
