Oct 28, 1945 My Dearest Evelyn, Hi darling! Another week gone by and that means one less until I see you again. Thats the day for me darling. Quite alot has been going on since I last wrote you darling so I'd better give you the news. Honey, what a swell deal I've gotten into. They put all the football players on "Detached Service" which means that we don't have to do a darned thing but play football for the Bn. Not only that, but they moved us all into a hotel down near the ball field. Here is the setup I have honey. I have my own private room, which is something I haven't had for three years.
