June 17, 1945 Dear Folks, Gosh darn, another Sunday has come and gone. I've been so darned busy this past week that it really went flying by. Now for what I've been doing. This friend of mine, Sgt Dean Hartman and I are in charge of company athletics and we have been getting things set up. We have a "Day Room fixed to. It is a large tent and we have a ping-pong table, four tables and a big cabinet. We made everything, but the ping pong set. Today we finished painting and the place really looks nice. It is O.D and trimmed in white. This "Day Room" will be for reading and writing letters besides being our office. From now on it will be mostly signing out equipment to the boys. I like that type of work so it 'over'
