Went to town on pass a couple days ago. Lamb, another kid and I went in. Wasn't anything to do as usual. Can't do much when you can't speak the language. We did go to the show which was "The Great John L." Wasn't too good or bad. Sure glad Allen is getting along ok in the Navy. Be good experience for him. Heard a mail ship that just pulled into harbor caught fire and sank a couple days ago. Maybe that is where our mail goes. I know Emery is not in this camp, but I couldn't say about the others around here. There are several of them as I've said before. You asked about the weather so I'll tell you. It's hotter than hell.
