Sept 23, 1945 Dear Folks, Margret, Ken & Karen, Looks as if the family is nearly all together again for awhile. Good thing the family isn't any larger or I'd have had to made two lines of it. Sure glad to hear you people didn't have any trouble getting home. One flat tire is not bad at all. Be wrong to complain about it anyway. Nothing of great importance has been going on here. However, we are receiving new orders all the time calling men back to Germany. Some are leaving next week, but I don't know if I'm one of them. Here is the finally blow. Men with 44 and less points are going to occupation army. I have 43 points as you know.
