Aug 3, 1945 My Dearest Evelyn, Hi honey, guess I'm a little late in writing again. First off I'll tell you whats been going on. There really hasn't been much going on. Guard duty as usual. When I'm not on guard I'm trying to catch up on sleep. Honest honey, its getting so I can hardly get off my bed. I'm on guard from midnight until four o'clock. I have to get up at 9:00 and chase PW's around tomorrow. This old boy is going to be plenty tired by the end of the day tomorrow. Had a letter from you two days ago. It was post marked July 26. Since then there hasn't been any mail I feel lucky though so maybe I'll have
