Saving...
Aug 8, 1945 My Dearest Evelyn, Hiya honey! Just got back from the ball game and I'll try and write a few lines before going to bed. We got a late start so it was 9:30 when we got back to camp. I had some bad luck and sprained my right angle fairly badly. It's the one I used to hurt in football all the time. I did it while warming up so I didn't get to play at all. We got beat 6 to 1, which isn't so hot. The fellas weren't playing very good ball. Honey, I was mistaken about it not raining. It practically flooded the place last night. Some of the tents had water six inches deep in them. We were lucky because we had a floor.
