Aug 27, 1945 My Dearest Evelyn, Darling, I really haven't much to say but I just wanted to write you anyway. If I don't happen to make sense all the time just skip it. Just cuz I love you so very much Evelyn. Thats really all I had to say anyway, but its so important to me that I figured I'd write and tell you again. Darling, I'm happy to say that I'm in better spirits tonight. Darn but I hate to get low like I was last night. Its only that it looks like we'll never get out of this army. Honey, the more they talk the more it looks like we will be here for quite some time yet. There is no need in my telling you how I feel about that. Darling, about all
