your little get together. Honey, the folks are so happy about our plans. They are crazy about you Evelyn. No doubt they think this is the first smart thing I've ever done. Can't place that girl that is visiting the folks. I never did know those Mo. folks too well. Sounds funny doesn't it? Got up about 8:00 this morning. Pretty lazy don't you think? Loafed around until noon then went on guard until 4:00. Since then I've eaten, showered and started your letter. I go back on guard at midnight and get off at 4:00 in the morning. Lord, what hours. It was really hot again today. I darned near melted while I was on guard. those wool uniforms don't help much either. Got a German pistol last week. I'm
