Dec. 23, 1942 Ft. Benning Hosp. Dear Mom,- Here I am, still in the hospital. I'll still be here for Christmas I guess. Isn't that a pleasant prospect? I received my book yesterday but I haven't had a chance to read it yet. It looks like a very humorous book. To-night we have movies at the Red Cross hall. I don't know what the picture will be, but if it's as good as the others have been, everything will be all right. I received a letter from Sally yesterday, postmarked Dec. 16. Its a crime, how long it takes letters to reach me. I also received my first copy of the Detroit News yesterday. I read the darn
