[Letterhead] February 4, 1943 Dear Mom,- Received your nice letter to-day, and guess I'll answer while I have the time. We had a blackout last night, so didn't get a chance to answer Sally's letter. Man, was it black around here! Couldn't see your face in front of your hand. Ha! ha! -- Sergeant Marshall, and a couple of other boys, and myself, held a bull session over in the orderly room (in darkness) until about 10 o'clock, and then we all went to bed. Nothing else to do. Went to the dentist's again today, and had a couple of teeth filled. Still got some fillings to be put in. Hope I'll make the grade all right. I've really got a dread of that darn dentist's office. I wont go back again until after this 10 days on the range. That's gonna' be tough, and rough, and rugged.
